What Is Sober Coaching?

Sober coaching is personalized support designed to help you stay grounded and accountable in your recovery. While therapy often looks at the past and treatment programs provide structure, sober coaching focuses on your present and future. It’s about building daily routines, practicing coping strategies, and having someone in your corner when real-life challenges show up. A sober coach helps you bridge the gap between treatment and everyday life — so you don’t have to do it alone.

Do I Need a Sober Coach?

You might benefit from sober coaching if:

  • You’re in early recovery and want extra accountability outside of meetings or treatment.

  • You’ve finished treatment but still feel unsure how to manage daily triggers or routines.

  • You’re rebuilding after a relapse and want compassionate, nonjudgmental support.

  • You’re balancing work, family, or social life and need guidance to stay steady in sobriety.

  • You just completed residential treatment and had to return to work or school right away. Sometimes there’s no choice but to jump back into life, even when outpatient care is recommended. If you can’t fit another program into your schedule but know you still need tools and support to stay sober and navigate life on life’s terms, a sober coach can help bridge that gap.
